Ingredients
- 2 fillets (5 oz each) salmon fillets, skin-on, patted dry
- 8 oz broccoli rabe, trimmed, halved lengthwise
- 0.75 cup dry orzo pasta, whole wheat if possible
- 0.75 cup cannellini beans, cooked or canned, drained and rinsed
- 4 cloves garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice, divided
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, divided
- 1 tsp fennel seeds, lightly toasted and crushed
- 0.5 tsp orange zest, finely grated
- 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes, adjust to taste
- 3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
- 1.5 cups vegetable broth, unsalted

Toast fennel seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1 minute until fragrant. Crush lightly with the back of a spoon. Mix with orange zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
