Zesty Japanese Beef and Broccoli Bowls

Tender seared beef and crisp-tender broccoli in a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce, served over fluffy white rice for a family-friendly Japanese-inspired dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 4 cups broccoli florets, bite-sized
- 2 cups white rice, cooked
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce, low-sodium
- 2 tbsp soy sauce, low-sodium
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tbsp sesame oil. Add the sliced beef in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned but still pink in the center. Transfer to a plate.

In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and 2 tbsp water. Cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender. Uncover and let any remaining water evaporate.
